Spritz Finance was established in 2021 by Christopher Sheehan, who currently leads the company as its CEO. The payment platform is registered in the US—its main market—as a money services business (MSB) and holds a money transmitter license (MTL) from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

In 2022, Spritz Finance raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding. Its investors include prominent individuals in the crypto industry, such as Aaron Harris, former Fintech Partner at Y Combinator, Balaji Srinivasan, former CTO of Coinbase, and Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon.

Spritz Finance is accessible via both a mobile app and its website. In addition to paying bills directly from your crypto wallet, you can convert crypto and transfer it to your linked bank account. The platform also offers a crypto debit card, which can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
